The Association of Local Authorities of Tanzania (ALAT) has, in conjunction with the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG Africa) secured a grant of 660,000 EUR from the European Union (EU), to implement the third edition of Mayors Award Scheme in Tanzania (MAS).
The MAS aims to identify and acknowledge, every year, role models in local leadership and the performance of local Councils in terms of promoting and practicing effective service delivery, local economic development and good governance at sub national levels. The scheme is thus intended to promote and thereby contribute to the achievement of a performance-based, service delivery-oriented, and citizen-centered governance system that favors the emergence and consolidation of accountable, participatory and inclusive local governments.
ALAT is seeking to recruit/hire suitable persons to fill on contract the following positions below:
1) Full-time Project Staff to be based in Dodoma, Tanzania (Open to only Tanzanian Citizens)
i. Project Coordinator
ii. Finance Officer
iii. Administrative Officer
iv. Programme Assistant
2) Short-time Consultants
i. Project Lead Advisor
ii. Professional Conference/Business Exhibition Organiser
